Efficient automation in HubSpot begins with precise data formatting. Understanding the diverse range of data formats available within HubSpot's properties is crucial for setting up accurate triggers and optimizing workflows. Let's delve into the various data formats and their applications:

Text Input Properties:

  • Single-line text: Ideal for storing individual strings of alphanumeric characters, such as names or keywords, with a character limit of 65,536.

  • Multi-line text: Perfect for capturing longer strings of alphanumeric characters, like paragraphs or lists, with the same character limit as single-line text.

  • Phone number: Stores phone numbers with automatic formatting and validation based on country codes, facilitating easy contact management.

Choosing Options Properties:

  • Single checkbox: Suitable for binary options, allowing users to select either "on" or "off".

  • Multiple checkboxes: Enables users to select multiple options from a list.

  • Dropdown select: Presents users with a list of options, allowing them to choose a single value.

  • Radio select: Similar to dropdown select but displayed as radio buttons, enabling users to select one option.

  • Date picker: Facilitates the selection of dates in a consistent format.

Values Properties:

  • Number: Stores numerical values with options for formatting, such as formatted, unformatted, percentage, currency, and calculation.

  • Score: Calculates and stores scores based on custom scoring attributes, useful for evaluating contacts, companies, and deals.

  • Other: Includes properties like property sync, file storage, HubSpot user selection, and rich text formatting, expanding data management capabilities.
